Mitch Daniels Drives Purdue's Electric Race Car

Purdue Electric Racing is one of several student-run motorsports teams at Purdue. Purdue President Mitch Daniels had the opportunity to test-drive their race car. Powered by a 300-volt battery, the vehicle can accelerate from 0-60 mph in under 4 seconds. President Daniels sees motorsports as the perfect gateway to STEM education.
