I also don't understand why they didn't hire someone under the age of 30 to write contemporary superhero kids. And I don't understand why they thought naming a superhero duo "Snowflake" and "Safespace" would go over well with anyone ever under any circumstances no matter how good their intentions. But then, Marvel Editor-in-chief C.B. Cebulski once pretended to be Asian so he could write Japanese-inspired superhero comics under the pen name Akira Yoshida for an imprint that was supposed to bring in non-white, non-western voices to Marvel Comics so I can see how this idea might make perfect sense to him.
