I'm Just A Singer (In A Rock & Roll Band) - Moody Blues 1973

"I'm Just a Singer (In a Rock and Roll Band)", by English rock band The Moody Blues, is an example of their progressive and symphonic style of music. Released in 1973 as their last single prior to a five year hiatus, the song reached #12 on U.S. the Billboard Hot 100 and became one of their highest charting hits. It was written by the Moody Blues' bassist John Lodge and is a classic example of his high energy rock style. It was his song about how, at the time, people appeared to look to Rock Stars for answers to the world's problems.... and his response is he had no answers. The Moody Blues have sold in excess of 55 million albums worldwide and have been awarded a combined 18 platinum and gold discs.
