Wagner Leitmotives - 37 - Siegmund

Leitmotives from Richard Wagner's Der Ring des Nibelungen (Ring Cycle). This leitmotif is known as "Siegmund" from Die Walküre (The Valkyrie) which is first heard in the first act. This leitmotif represents Siegmund, a Wälsung, who is the son of the gods, Wotan and Erda. It is then no surprise that his leitmotif bears similarities to the leitmotif, "Spear."
